Hello, there, and welcome to my blog!
My name is Shannon, and I’ve wanted to be a writer since I was about twelve-years-old. Of course, I didn’t immediately jump into that role, having interests in one thing, and then another. Once I’d reached the age of nineteen, I was bound and determined that this was what I wanted to do for the rest of my life, and attempted to experiment with various genres. Due to one reason or another, I was never able to stick with any of my projects–until nearly a full decade later. And thank whatever gods exist, because until recently, I don’t believe I was up for the task: not in any sense of the word, and especially not as far as my skills were concerned.
By late 2013-early 2014, I started mulling over possible ideas. What started out as a couple of lines in a notebook, forgotten about for two months or so, turned into an entire story, then two, then three…and before I even knew what was happening, I was jotting down notes for preludes, side-stories, and the like.
My current project, under the title, “Whispers of Nowhere” is intended to be a trilogy, and one that I hope will be published within a few years. In order for that dream to be realized, not only do I have to work hard, I need to be able to adapt, improve my writing prose, and above all, retain my courage to see it through.
I have no intentions of giving up, but I also know the road ahead of me is long; the more aware I am of this, the longer the road seems to stretch.
With all that said, I thank you for taking the time to read my rambling, and I hope you find the snippets I’ve provided entertaining. If you wish to impart me with your wisdom, critique is always welcome. ^^
